C++ Software Engineer
Real-Time & Simulation

From system analysis to deployment.

I design and evolve real-time software for aerospace and railway. After six years on Airbus helicopter simulators, I now work as a freelancer on the Toulouse metro supervision system, from system analysis all the way to deployment.

// my_approach

My approach

Over my assignments, I have built a way of working that favours understanding the system, writing rigorous code and automating whatever can be automated.

01

Understand the system

I analyse what exists and talk with the experts to grasp how it really works and what is at stake, before diving in.

02

Own the domain

I ramp up on a demanding field — from aerospace to railway — to become autonomous quickly.

03

Develop with rigour

I turn that understanding into clear, tested and documented code, designed to stay maintainable throughout the life of the project.

04

Automate for reliability

I automate repetitive tasks — continuous integration, internal tools — to lighten the team’s workload and improve product quality.

// expertise

My expertise

A dual skill set: the business domains I master and the technologies that keep them running — from real-time C++ to automation.

Business domains

  • Aerospace
  • Railway
  • Real-time systems
  • 3D Simulation

Development

  • C++
  • Qt
  • Python
  • SQL

Quality & automation

  • Continuous integration (GitLab CI, Jenkins)
  • Automated testing
  • Static analysis (SonarQube)
  • Internal tooling

Automated Train Supervision (ATS)

@ Siemens Mobility France

Maintenance and evolution of the Centralised Control Room (CCR) software supervising lines A and B of the Toulouse metro. Development and maintenance within the Customer Services department, as part of the maintenance contract with the operator Tisséo and the Line B Connection (CLB) project extending line B toward Labège.

My role

Develop and maintain the C++ components of the supervision system (ATS): analysing and fixing anomalies, implementing functional evolutions and taking part in CCR updates for the line B extension, through to validating fixes before deployment.

Virtual Maintenance Trainer (VMT)

@ Telespazio France

Development of a helicopter maintenance simulator (Virtual Maintenance Training System) for technical training on several Airbus Helicopters aircraft. The simulator reproduces in real time the behaviour of many embedded subsystems and equipment in order to simulate maintenance operations. Aircraft covered: H135, H145, H160, H225, NH90, AS365 and H130.

My role

Develop in C++ the modules simulating the behaviour of embedded systems, modelling the subsystems from maintenance cards, then integrate and validate the maintenance scenarios in the simulation environment, in liaison with technical experts.

Crew Monitoring System

@ Continental Engineering Services

Development of a real-time aircraft pilot supervision system (Crew Monitoring System) as part of the European ACROSS project. The system aims to analyse pilot activity and posture in order to improve safety and ergonomics in the cockpit.

My role

Design real-time detection algorithms and integrate them into a cockpit mock-up, up against real-world constraints.

Naval Decoy System

@ Scalian

Contribution to a naval decoy system software, mainly during the final phase of the project, to prepare delivery to the client.

My role

  • Design and write unit tests (GoogleTest) and integration tests to secure the software's behaviour before delivery
  • Analyse and fix anomalies found during test campaigns
  • Validate the system operation and take part in software qualification activities

// why_hire_me

What I bring to your team

I work primarily in aerospace and railway, where I know the demands of real-time and simulation. But my main strength is adaptability: I ramp up quickly on a new domain and integrate into an existing team.

I am open both to in-depth technical assignments and to shorter engagements, focused on developing internal tools or setting up automation in the development pipeline.

A genuine ability to adapt

I ramped up from scratch in aerospace, then in railway. Owning a new domain is part of my job.

Productive quickly

Curiosity and involvement let me get into an assignment fast and become autonomous, even on a codebase I am discovering.

An automation reflex

I automate whatever can be — continuous integration, internal tools — to make the product reliable and lighten the team’s load.

A bridge between domain and development

I connect domain experts with the technical team, and translate real needs into software solutions.

A system to evolve or fix? Let's talk.

Simulation, supervision, real-time software or setting up an automation pipeline — if the challenge is technical and the domain demanding, I am interested.
